On Valentine's Day...


On Valentine's Day, you can bring cheer
to people who you think are very dear.
And give them love, which makes me queasy
just like eggs, when made "over easy".
And then you work flabbergastingly hard,
just to make everyone a Valentine's card.
There's also tons of red and pink hearts,
but all of this romance stuff tears me apart.
And as if all of that just isn't enough,
they cram all our mailboxes with this crumby stuff.
Those are the parts that I hate most, without a doubt
Now, I'll tell you what Valentine's is really about.
It's the thing that really makes Valentine's lovely and dandy
the lifetime supply of endless sweet candy!
